Ben Simmons has weighed in on those LeBron James-to-Philadelphia rumors.
TMZ Sports caught up with Simmons, who called James a “great player” that he’d be interested in playing with. Simmons also didn’t seem too concerned with detractors who feel that Simmons and James would struggle to coexist, with both players most comfortable as ballhandlers.
“There’s only one way to find out, man,” Simmons said of whether he could coexist with James.
Simmons probably isn’t thinking all that hard about it. Even though there have definitely been some rumors about Philadelphia pursuing James, he’s headed to the NBA Finals, which will occupy his thinking for the foreseeable future. It may be an increasingly plausible scenario, but James to the Sixers remains a long way from becoming a reality.
