Philadelphia 76ers GM Bryan Colangelo has read those reports about Ben Simmons preferring to go to the Lakers. He doesn’t really care.
Colangelo spoke to SiriusXM Bleacher Report Radio’s “NBA Sunday Tip” on Sunday and he said he isn’t sweating all those rumors.
“Some people like to poison the well,” Colangelo said, via Tyler Conway of Bleacher Report. “We’ve got good relationships with the agent [Rich Paul] and with the family because Brett Brown has known Ben Simmons’ father for years.”

It’s not really Simmons’s choice either way. Philadelphia picks first, and if they want him, they’ll take him. One report says that’s exactly what they intend to do.
Simmons had reportedly wanted to go to Los Angeles for bigger endorsement deals, but Philly isn’t exactly small, and he’ll be marketable anywhere. The 76ers are right not to care about this report.
