Sacramento Kings big man DeMarcus Cousins sat out Tuesday night’s 97-95 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder while nursing an ankle injury. Derrick Rose had absolutely nothing to do with it, but that didn’t stop Cousins from taking a veiled swipe at the Chicago Bulls guard.
A reporter asked Cousins after the game if he would be ready to return when the Kings take on the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday. He joked that he would be shutting it down for the season. And it would be tough to argue that he wasn’t taking a shot at D-Rose.
Asked DeMarcus Cousins about playing Friday, he joked "probably not, think I'll be out rest of the season & I can get a comeback commercial"

As most of you know, Rose missed the entire 2012-2013 season as he recovered from reconstructive knee surgery. While all that was going on, Adidas was running a comeback campaign to continue turning a profit. He did not return until this season, when he suffered yet another knee injury that required season-ending surgery.
Cousins, who has been on a no-handshake rampage early on this season, seems to be in a particularly sour mood lately.
