Details have surfaced on the arrest this week of ex-NBA forward Kyle Singler.

Singler was reportedly arrested this week for domestic violence in Haskell County, Okla. Lori Fullbright of News on 6 in Tulsa subsequently shared the details of Singler’s arrest.

According to the probable cause affidavit, Fullbright says, deputies in Whitefield, Okla. received a call about a woman running from Singler, her live-in boyfriend as well as the father of her child. Singler was allegedly chasing the woman and trying to get the child.

The affidavit added that Singler appeared to be under the influence of narcotics and was allegedly uncooperative. While the child was said to be safe, the woman said that Singler supposedly wanted to have sex with her. When she refused, Singler allegedly said he would just rape her and began grabbing her head and pushing her to the ground.

Additionally, the affidavit said that the woman had scratches and finger marks on her face and head as well as marks on her arm (with Singler said to have some injuries to his hands). You can read Fullbright’s full report on the situation here.

Now 37 years old, Singler was a four-year starter at Duke from 2007-11 and was named the Final Four Most Outstanding Player when the Blue Devils won the national title in 2010. He then played in the NBA from 2012-18, averaging 6.5 points and 2.9 rebounds a game combined between the Detroit Pistons and Oklahoma City Thunder.

Singler’s post-playing career has since been marred by personal troubles. Last year, Singler made headlines by posting a number of disturbing videos of himself ranting over social media.
