Houston, we have an extension.
According to a report by Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical on Saturday, All-Star shooting guard James Harden has agreed to a four-year, $118 million contract renegotiation with the Rockets that could keep him under team control through 2020.

The 26-year-old Harden was originally due to become an unrestricted free agent in 2018 under the terms of his original deal. He averaged career bests across the board in 2015-16, posting 29.0 points per game, 6.1 rebounds per game, and 7.5 assists per game while playing in all 82 games.
The four-time All-Star is without a doubt one of the most offensively-gifted players in the league today, and he should be even deadlier in the up-tempo attack of new head coach Mike D’Antoni.
The Rockets now have Harden locked up for all of his prime years and are free to construct the team long-term with a top-10 talent in the Association serving as the foundation.
