Jimmer Fredette left the Golden State Warriors’ Summer League team so he could focus on international opportunities, and it looks like he has found one.
Eurohoops.net’s Varlas Nikos reported on Tuesday that Fredette reached a deal on a two-year contract with Greek team Panathinaikos.

According to Nikos, Panathinaikos’ owner, Dimitrios Giannakopoulos, had personally been recruiting Fredette for several years.
Jimmer was the No. 10 overall pick in the 2011 NBA Draft out of BYU. He played with the Kings, Bulls, Pelicans and Knicks before heading overseas to play in China. After two seasons away, he signed and played six games for the Phoenix Suns at the end of last season.
Fredette played two games with the Warriors’ Summer League team this summer before leaving to focus on signing elsewhere.
Panathinaikos is the same team Rick Pitino coached last season.
