John Wall more than exceeded his promise to a few VIPs in Atlanta on Friday night.
Wall’s Wizards were in town looking to close out the Hawks in their first-round playoff series. Also at the game were some celebrities, like Julio Jones of the Falcons and rappers Gucci Mane and Quavo.
Late in the game, Wall could be seen saying something to Jones:

After the game, Wall was asked what he said to the guys and explained:

35 and a win? How about 42 points and a 115-99 win. Wall balled out going 16-for-25 with 8 assists, and teammate Bradley Beal scored 31. Next up for the Wizards will be the Boston Celtics. Game 1 of that series is on Sunday. Hopefully for the Celtics’ sake no Patriots show up to that one.
