JR Smith sprayed $23K worth of champagne during championship celebration

Not that anybody would ever doubt JR Smith’s ability to party and party hard, but here’s further evidence that you really shouldn’t.

According to Lee Jenkins of Sports Illustrated on Tuesday, after the Cavaliers brought the City of Cleveland its first professional sports title in 52 years, Smith celebrated by spraying approximately $23,000 worth of champagne at XS Nightclub in Las Vegas.

For Smith, who was the star of the post-championship spotlight with his shirtless hijinks and pipe-signing shenanigans, it’s actually somewhat miraculous that he didn’t wind up spraying more.

Still, to put Smith’s bubbly buffoonery in perspective, that total was nearly three times what teammate Dahntay Jones made all of last season. I guess it’s safe to say that the former Sixth Man of the Year, who reportedly wants $15 million a year to return to the Cavaliers, sure knows how to get down. You trying to get the pop?
