Kevin Durant tells Bill Simmons to ‘let it go’ about James Harden
Kevin Durant is sick and tired of hearing about the James Harden trade, and he’s not afraid to let people know that.
The Oklahoma City Thunder hosting the Houston Rockets Sunday provided a perfect opportunity for some to rehash that storyline even though Harden has been in Houston for three seasons now.
ESPN’s Bill Simmons responded to an article in The Oklahoman about the subject by sending several tweets about the matter to remind fans that OKC did not have to trade Harden when they did.

The Thunder decided they could not afford to keep Harden and Serge Ibaka in addition to Durant and Russell Westbrook, so they traded him to Houston to get some value in return rather than lose him in free agency the year after.
The entire subject matter is old history for Durant, who responded with this tweet sent towards Simmons:
@BillSimmons just let it go!

Seriously, that trade is so old now. Harden is in his third season with Houston and has built a contender there. Isn’t it more fun to talk about the debates of the day like how Houston will do in the playoffs and who deserves the MVP award? I’m with Durant on this one. And Durant’s choice of words makes me think of nothing other than this video.
