Kevin Durant thinks it’s cool that someone put up a billboard trying to persuade him to come to the Knicks, but he says he’s not impressed by it.
A billboard went up near MSG recruiting Durant to the Knicks ahead of the Golden State Warriors’ game in New York City on Friday. The billboard shows a cartoon of Durant and what appears to be Kristaps Porzingis. The billboard issues a challenge to KD, asking him, “can you make NY sports great again?”

Durant spoke with the New York media on Thursday and was asked about the billboard. According to Anthony Slater, Durant said the billboard was “cool” but he’s “not really impressed” with it.

The Knicks thought they would be in the mix for Durant two years ago when he chose the Warriors in free agency, but he didn’t give them any serious consideration. They’re hoping that’s changed and that KD may pull a move similar to LeBron by leaving for a big-market team in desperate need of a star. We have our doubts, though the league office would probably love it.
