The New York Knicks are leaving no stone unturned in the wake of their decision to fire head coach Jeff Hornacek, and they may have interest in bringing David Blatt back to the NBA.
ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported on Sunday that the Knicks have scheduled a meeting with Blatt, who is currently the head coach of Turkish Super League team Darussafaka.
The Knicks have set up a meeting with ex-Cavaliers coach David Blatt too, league sources tell ESPN.

The Knicks have already been linked to at least a handful of other candidates, and one of the latest actually had a stint coaching in New York previously.
Blatt last coached in the NBA with the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2016, and the team had the best record in the Eastern Conference at the time they fired him. LeBron James demonstrated on numerous occasions that he had little respect for Blatt, but the 58-year-old coach has won numerous championships overseas. It seems unlikely that he will land the Knicks job, but it is not shocking that he is getting an interview.
