Rudy Gay admits to having ‘no idea’ about what the Kings are doing

Add the Sacramento Kings’ starting small forward to the lengthy laundry list of people who don’t have a damn clue about what that franchise is doing.

In an interview with Blake Ellington of Sactown Royalty on Tuesday, Rudy Gay admitted to confusion with the way that the Kings are trending.

“I have no idea,” said Gay when asked what he thought about the direction of the team at the moment. “I suit up and give it my all. That’s all I can do in this situation, that’s all you can do. Go out there and play as much as you can. Obviously, we don’t have anything to really build on. We have a new coach. I think that’s the only thing we can really build on. New coach and seeing how it plays out.”

The 29-year-old Gay has a right to be baffled, especially considering all of the trade rumors that have hounded him this summer.

It’s no state secret that the Kings are probably the most poorly-run franchise in the Association today. The evidence has proved that time and time again. By now, Sacramento would probably be doing Gay a significant favor by dealing him away. #KANGZ
