After taking two games at home and playing their way back into the Eastern Conference finals, the Toronto Raptors laid a complete egg against the Cavaliers in Cleveland Wednesday night. The end result was as bad as any blowout you will ever see in the playoffs.
How bad? So bad that Kyle Lowry seemed legitimately stunned when glancing over the box score.
What’s wrong, Kyle? Was it the 39 percent shooting from the field? Could it have been the 17.6 percent from three-point range? Or how about being out-rebounded by a total of 57-38?
Lowry has personally faced a lot of criticism this postseason, but losing by 38 points in a playoff game never falls on one man’s shoulders. The Raptors were outplayed and outcoached in every phase of the game. If they’re anything close to that bad in Toronto for Game 6, they won’t be making the trip back to Cleveland.
