Kyrie Irving wants Gordon Hayward to be more aggressive, pass less
Shoot the ball more.
On Thursday, Irving said he has spoken with Gordon about being more selfish.
Kyrie Irving said he thinks Gordon Hayward has passed too much at times. Spoke to Hayward and suggested he should be more aggressive looking for his own opportunities.

Hayward is averaging just 10.1 points per game, and he is basically taking half as many shots as he was in his last year with the Utah Jazz. Granted, he is playing less minutes in Boston than he was in Utah, but it makes sense that Irving thinks Hayward should be taking more than nine shots per game given how talented he is offensively.
Brad Stevens has experimented recently by replacing Gordon in the start lineup, and that is something the veteran forward said he has no problem with. Still, the Celtics would be a better team if the Hayward from two years ago shows up at some point. Taking more shots might be a way for Gordon to help find that guy.
