Lamar Odom reportedly bought ingredient used to make homemade crack pipes
If there is one person in America right now who can make headlines by purchasing copper scrubbing pads, it’s Lamar Odom. Chore Boy copper scrubbing pads are a common household cleaning product that also happen to be a popular ingredient used to make homemade crack pipes. You know where this is going.
TMZ reported on Tuesday that Odom was spotted by a photography agency walking out of a pharmacy in the San Fernando Valley with a bag full of items that included a box of Chore Boy scrubbing pads. Some people will undoubtedly say that it is ridiculous to jump to conclusions because Odom bought steel wool, but we are talking about a guy who is rumored to have had an $800 per day drug habit and allegedly bought $50,000 worth of cocaine from his drug dealer over the past three years.
As TMZ noted, the word “crack” is one of the first that comes up in Google’s auto-fill topics if you type in “Chore Boy.” Urban dictionary is also quite familiar with copper cleaning pads being used in crack pipes:
“An abrasive copper pad for cleaning, but in the urban definition is as a necessary part of creating a crack pipe … Brand name of scouring pad used also by people smoking crack to retain some of the cocaine vapors. Can then be fired up and smoked for a second hit.”
Odom reportedly made the purchase a short time after he met up with Khloe Kardashian’s assistant to pick up some clothes.
It’s quite possible that Odom has a pan at home with grease stuck to it and he simply needed the power of steel wool. But when multiple reports say you are addicted to crack and prescription medications, you kind of lose the benefit of the doubt.
