LeBron to incorporate ‘Space Jam 2’ into free agency announcement?

LeBron James Space Jam

LeBron James has openly admitted that the way he announced his free agency decision in 2010 — via an actual televised special on ESPN — was a mistake, but that does not mean he will avoid self-promotion altogether this time around.

According to a report from The Hype Magazine, LeBron is considering the possibility of making his free agency announcement as part of the first official trailer for “Space Jam 2.” James could also use Instagram’s new feature Instagram TV, which was launched recently and allows users to post longer videos.

Here’s more:

In addition, once James announces his decision, he will utilize the Instagram TV app to launch a trailer and/or a documentary for his Space Jam 2 that we’ve waited forever and a day to see.

For those keeping score at home, Warner Bros. announced in May 2016 that a sequel is in the works.

I was also told that LeBron James had to let some of his sponsors know where he would be going.

The reasoning behind it is that the contents of this said trailer will state where the King is actually going.

The Hype Magazine noted that LeBron will most likely make the initial announcement via his digital network UNINTERRUPTED, but “Space Jam 2” could be part of the equation. LeBron is expected to eventually star in a sequel to Michael Jordan’s hit 1990s film, even if one of the people who made the original movie thinks it’s a bad idea.

Las Vegas is convinced that LeBron is going to sign with the Los Angeles Lakers, and there wouldn’t be anything more Hollywood than announcing your decision as part of a trailer for a feature film. While LeBron supposedly does not want teams to pitch him with big presentations this summer, his recent social media activity indicates he still enjoys all the buzz surrounding “The Decision 3.0.”
