The NBA announced key dates of its regular season schedule on Tuesday, including some more history for LeBron James.
James’ Philadelphia 76ers will face the Los Angeles Lakers, his former team, on Christmas. There is nothing shocking about this being a spotlighted game, but it will also create a bit of history.
James and his son Bronny became the first father-son duo to play for the same NBA team. As such, this will represent the first time a father-son duo opposes each other in a game.

This is not necessarily the biggest point of intrigue in a 76ers-Lakers game, though it is a significant one. James facing Luka Doncic and his former team is interesting enough, but there is certainly a case to be made that the LeBron-Bronny subplot only makes this more interesting.
It is fair to question whether Bronny will play a big enough role for the Lakers to actually see the floor during a game like this. However, the team does seem to have some real hopes for him, so it could happen.
