LeBron James dismisses question about Nets being biggest competition (Video)

LeBron-James-interviewThe Brooklyn Nets completed a season sweep of Miami Heat on Tuesday night, defeating the Eastern Conference leaders for the fourth time this season. LeBron James seems to think that is a coincidence.

After the game, TNT’s Craig Sager asked LeBron if the Nets are the Heat’s biggest challenge in the East. King James seemed borderline offended by the question.

“Get outta here, Craig,” he muttered while laughing sarcastically. “Next question.”

Brooklyn officially has all the bulletin board material it should need when the postseason begins. The Nets are currently the No. 5 seed in the East, and it looks like they could stay there with three games separating them and the No. 6 seed Washington Wizards. There are five games remaining in the regular season.

What does that mean? The Heat could, in theory, play the Nets in the second round of the playoffs if both teams advance. I don’t necessarily think four regular season games indicate that that there is some sort of matchup problem between Brooklyn and Miami, but the motivation will be there. I’m surprised LeBron disrespected the Nets like that.
