Luka Doncic unintentionally sent in his audition tape on Sunday for the 2026 edition of the AND1 mixtape.
The Los Angeles Lakers guard was making his move against Sacramento Kings guard Daeqwon Plowden in the third quarter of the California clash at Crypto.com Arena in L.A. Doncic stumbled as he tried to execute a behind-the-back dribble at the right elbow.
The Slovenian superstar got back to his feet as if he were Curly Neal, stumbled for a split second, then dribbled into a fallaway three-pointer with the shot clock winding down. Despite Plowden being draped all over Doncic, the shot hit nothing but nylon.

The shot gave the Lakers an 89-65 lead.
Swishing a contested fallaway three was hard enough. Doing it while regaining his balance in a late-clock situation showed Doncic’s mental fortitude to match his elite shot-making ability.
Doncic finished with a game-high 28 points on 10/16 shooting as the Lakers ran away with a 128-104 victory over the tanking Kings. It was a sorely needed result for a Lakers team that had hit a rough patch before its last two blowout wins.
Doncic made headlines last month for his propensity to argue with referees, which sometimes overshadows his otherworldly talent on the court.
The shot he hit Sunday against the Kings reminded fans why he’s earned the nickname “Luka Magic.” That’s almost certainly the name AND1 would give him if he makes the final cut on the next streetball mixtape.
