Luka Doncic did not take it easy on himself after a poor game against the Golden State Warriors on Thursday night.
Doncic’s Los Angeles Lakers lost 123-116 to the Warriors at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, Calif. Doncic shot just 6/17 and scored 19 points with 8 rebounds and 7 assists. He went a perfect 7/7 from the free throw line, but he was 0/6 on three-pointers. It was his first game since April 7, 2023 without making a three-pointer.
“That performance by me is unacceptable,” Doncic said after the game. “When I play like that, it’s hard to win so gotta figure it out.”

Doncic even had a bad moment in the final minute where he got stripped by Draymond Green.

Turning the ball over in that situation helped the Warriors hang on for the win.
The game was a bad one for Doncic, but more likely an anomaly than what the Lakers should expect from him. He entered Thursday averaging 27.2 points on 41.5 percent shooting per game. The Lakers’ lead over the Warriors is now down to one game.
