Victor Wembanyama can’t seem to get San Antonio off his mind.
The French phenom was back in his native Paris this week as the NBA offseason kicks into high gear. Wemby was taking a leisurely boat ride along the Seine River on Friday, as one does when in that part of the world.
As the boat drifted past the Eiffel Tower, Wembanyama took a video of himself at the historic landmark and posted it to his Instagram story. His words in the clip both trolled and paid homage to his NBA city.
“It’s just like the River Walk in San Antonio,” Wemby said after panning the camera from the Eiffel Tower to himself.

The Spurs superstar’s cheeky smile in the video signaled he was clowning the River Walk just a little bit, but from a place of love. Spurs fans clearly appreciated the light ribbing.

Wembanyama, who was born and grew up in a suburb just outside of Paris, sounded like a true San Antonio local seeing the sights halfway around the world.
From the offseason shoutouts to the potential $51 million pay cut he agreed to last month, Wembanyama has shown his commitment to the city that cheers for him whenever he takes the court.
