Marc Gasol uses shoe to play defense on Derrick Favors (Video)
Marc Gasol became resourceful Saturday and used his shoe to try stopping Derrick Favors on defense.
Gasol made a hook shot to make it 71-67 Utah in the fourth quarter, but Favors stepped on Gasol’s foot, causing his opponent’s shoe to come off. Luckily for Gasol, his Grizzlies teammate Ed Davis picked up the shoe and gave it to him. Gasol didn’t have a chance to put the shoe back on, so he used the spare sneaker to try poking the ball loose from Favors as the Jazz forward tried going past him. Gasol was called for a foul on the play and had no luck pleading with the referees.
Utah ended up beating Memphis 90-84 while Gasol only had 11 points in the loss.
