Report: Heat could get key weapon back soon
The Miami Heat could be getting a key weapon back in time for the postseason.
Victor Oladipo has been out since last April due to a quad injury. He underwent surgery on his right quadricep tendon in May 2021 and has been recovering ever since. A report in January said that Oladipo might be ready to return in February.
This month is nearly ending, but Oladipo is still close to a return.
ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported on Friday that Oladipo could make his season debut within the next two weeks.
Oladipo was acquired by Miami in a trade deadline deal with Houston last year. He only played in four games for Miami before reinjuring his quad. The 29-year-old former No. 2 overall draft pick is on a one-year, minimum deal with the Heat.
Oladipo is a good scorer and has averaged 19.8 points per game during his career.
