The NBA has released player-specific emojis for use on social media platforms ahead of Sunday’s All-Star game in Charlotte.
With the NBA’s All-Star Weekend approaching, the league is encouraging fans to talk about their favorite players on social media using hashtags the the players name that will produce unique emojis for that particular player. Some of the emojis are related to the player’s nickname. Others reference their team or uniform number.

After a quick glance at Team Giannis, the chef’s hat for Stephen Curry and film reel for Paul George and his PG-13 nickname are excellent. The silhouette for Dirk Nowitzki’s famous-one legged fadeaway is also very good, as is the jester/joker’s hat for Nikola “The Joker” Jokic.

Most of the emojis for Team LeBron are somewhat underwhelming. Kyrie’s likeness on the shamrock looks good. I like the basketball splashing for “Splash Brother” Klay Thompson. Outside of those, there isn’t much to write home about here except for maybe the microphone for Damian Lillard given his exploits as a lyricist.
