Being traded is always difficult, but it’s probably worse when you find out about your trade from a notification on your phone.
That’s what happened to Randy Foye on Thursday when he was traded from Denver to Oklahoma City. According to the man himself, he learned of the deal via a notification from the NBA app.

This is on Denver to notify Foye of the deal. That they didn’t before it hit the media doesn’t reflect great on them.
Foye is far from the first player to find out about a trade this way, as you can see here. This still beats finding out about your potential involvement in a trade on the field, though.
