Raptors’ OG Anunoby reveals he had appendix rupture, infection complications
OG Anunoby has missed the entire postseason thus far, and it is hardly shocking now that we have an idea of what exactly he was dealing with.
On Wednesday’s eve of the NBA Finals, the Toronto Raptors forward revealed that his appendix ruptured and that he had infection complications from the resulting surgery, per Blake Murphy of the Athletic. Anunoby is making good progress however and has been upgraded to questionable for Thursday’s Game 1 against the Golden State Warriors.

The 21-year-old Anunoby underwent the emergency procedure last month and has now been sidelined for 18 straight playoff games and counting.
Anunoby’s length at 6-foot-8 and strong defensive play would be a welcome asset to have back in the lineup against the defending champs, and Toronto has to be pleased about his headway from a seemingly serious health scare.
