Report: Raptors ‘quietly optimistic’ OG Anunoby could play in Finals
Much has been made of the Golden State Warriors’ injury status leading to the NBA Finals, but the Toronto Raptors could be getting a key player back as well.
According to Ryan Wolstat of the Toronto Sun, the Raptors are hopeful of getting forward OG Anunoby back at some point during the Finals after undergoing an emergency appendectomy just before the start of the playoffs.
Per sources, the Raptors are quietly optimistic that they’ll get OG Anunoby back at some point vs. Warriors in the NBA Finals. They don’t know for sure, but spacing of games should help. Also long breaks between most games helps Kawhi quite a bit.

Getting Anunoby back would be a nice boost for Toronto. A key reserve, he averaged 7.0 points and 2.9 rebounds in just over 20 minutes per game this season, and would help provide some added depth against Golden State.
