Richard Jefferson is making sure to show solidarity with his partner in the broadcast booth.
The retired former NBA forward Jefferson (who is now an analyst for ESPN) made a public appearance over the weekend at the Women’s College World Series game between Texas and Texas Tech. Before the game at Devon Park in Oklahoma City, O.K., Jefferson appeared on the pregame show of the SEC Network.
Jefferson was wearing a notable T-shirt for his television appearance. His T-shirt read, “My Favorite Broadcaster is Doris Burke.”

The ex-NBA champion Jefferson was in attendance at the game along with Burke and other ESPN colleagues (including Malika Andrews and Ramona Shelburne). The crew is in town covering the NBA Finals between the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Indiana Pacers and made sure to enjoy their off day in between games.
Jefferson made sure to further highlight his shirt as well when shown in a cutaway during the middle of the game.

Jefferson is in his first full season as a member of ESPN’s No. 1 NBA broadcast team along with Burke and Mike Breen. The trio is largely unpopular with viewers though, and Burke is the most often-criticized member of the team (recently even issuing a response to her critics).
A report broke earlier this week as well suggesting that ESPN could break up the Breen-Jefferson-Burke trio after the NBA Finals. As such, Jefferson is making to show some strong public support for his broadcast partner Burke.
