Russell Westbrook is one of the best point guards in the NBA. On Tuesday night, the Oklahoma City Thunder star reminded us that even the best make some embarrassing mistakes when he blew an incredibly easy rebound.
Westbrook was all by himself during the third quarter of a win over the Denver Nuggets when everyone on the floor cleared out and allowed him to grab a rebound. It appeared as though Westbrook was already thinking about bringing the ball up the court when he jumped to grab it, and he accidentally knocked it out of bounds. Fortunately, it didn’t cost the team in the long run. It’s just fun to know that most of us could have made a play that an NBA star didn’t make.
Westbrook doesn’t seem to be embarrassed when he wears shirts like this. I hope that botched rebound is a different story.
