Stan Van Gundy rips team for latest blowout loss
The Detroit Pistons put up yet another disgraceful performance in a 113-82 loss to the Chicago Bulls on Monday, and head coach Stan Van Gundy was not shy about pointing that out afterwards.
“I have nothing to say. It was a disgusting performance by all of us — me included,” Van Gundy said. “It was unprofessional, embarrassing, humiliating — whatever you want to say. It was terrible.”
Van Gundy then ripped his team for holding a players-only meeting on Sunday that clearly produced little results.
“Team meeting my a–. Like I said before, that stuff means nothing. It’s what you do on the court. Talking’s easy.”
The 14-16 Pistons have lost three in a row, and four of five. All of the losses have been by double-digits. They need to get their act together.
