Charles Barkley had a very on-brand moment with an autograph-seeker this week.
Video went viral this week of the retired Basketball Hall of Famer Barkley getting into his vehicle in what appeared to be the Manhattan area of New York. A number of autograph-seekers were waiting to hound Barkley as soon as he entered the passenger’s side of the vehicle, resulting in an annoyed reaction from Sir Charles.
“Hey man, I told y’all that y’all can’t be waiting out here,” said Barkley.
Barkley then signed an autograph for one person, saying, “I’m doing one. That’s it.” When then pressed to do another one by someone else in the crowd, Barkley got a bit profane.
“I said one motherf–ker, you understand English,” Barkley replied.

The video was originally posted by @kingofbundy on Instagram, who has countless other posts about waiting out for various other celebrities to get their autographs. A separate video from the same account also showed Barkley taking time to sign several autographs for a crowd on a different day.
Now 63 years old, Barkley continues to be a leading figure in television coverage of the NBA and NCAA March Madness. But this is far from the first time that Barkley has gone viral for cursing out members of the public.
