
Hassan Whiteside left the Miami Heat bench and headed to locker room prior to the end of Tuesday’s game against the Orlando Magic.
Whiteside did not play at all during the fourth quarter of Miami’s 105-90 loss. With less than a minute remaining in regulation, Whiteside left the bench area and walked back to the locker room.

Following the game, Dwyane Wade said Whiteside left to use the bathroom.

Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra did not get an explanation from Whiteside for his actions but provided a possible explanation.
Whiteside did not tell Spoelstra why he left the bench early and went to locker room with less than a minute left. Spo: "He’s probably extremely upset like we all are."

Whiteside was unavailable to the media following the game. He finished with 12 points, nine rebounds, and three blocked shots in 25 minutes.
