Wizards hammer Devin Robinson in statement for fight with Eagles’ Jalen Mills
The Washington Wizards issued a harsh statement in response to Devin Robinson being involved in a fight with Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Jalen Mills.
Robinson and Mills were both arrested for fighting outside the Opera Ultra Lounge in D.C. just before 3:00 a.m. on Saturday. Robinson was taken to the hospital for treatment and then was released to the police.
The Wizards hammered Robinson in a statement, saying they are “disappointed” in him and will not offer him a contract.
“We are aware of the incident this morning involving Devin and are disappointed in his actions. We will not extend him a qualifying offer for the 2019-20 season,” the Wizards said.
The Eagles also issued a statement in response to Mills’ involvement.
“The Philadelphia Eagles are aware of the situation involving defensive back Jalen Mills and are continuing to gather more information. No further comment will be provided at this time.”
Mills reportedly paid a $35 fine and will have a court date unless the charges are dropped.
Back in 2014, Mills, then at LSU, was arrested for knocking out a woman.
