The Georgia Bulldogs were hoping to have their stadium decked out for Saturday’s game against Ole Miss, but they evidently did not quite get the setup correct.
Georgia had sought a “Stripe Sanford” design for the game at Sanford Stadium in Athens, Ga., in which each portion of the stadium is dressed in a different solid color. As such, the school provided shirts for the student section to fit the theme.
Unfortunately, as shown in several videos and screenshots, the students were given white shirts when they should have been black.
This concept fried @UGAAthletics mind too much.

They handed out WHITE shirts in the student section (which is on the North side of the stadium)

The situation was made worse as a number of students correctly wore black, making the whole section look quite confused.
for some reason UGA gave the main student section (that is supposed to be wearing black) white shirts so they look like salt and pepper #GoDawgs pic.twitter.com/yrWwvld4Nk

When this sort of stunt is pulled off correctly, the stadium looks quite cool from above. It should not be terribly hard to do it right, either, but in this instance, the school screwed it up.
Georgia wound up trailing Ole Miss 21-20 at halftime. Perhaps the confused color theme threw off the players.
