Chris Arreola Kisses Joey Abell (Video) Compassionate or Insulting?

Heavyweight Chris Arreola beat the crap out of Joey Abell on Friday Night Fights in Temecula Friday evening. The bout had to be stopped after Abell had taken too much punishment, only 2:18 into the first round. The Nightmare then consummated the beat down with an odd gesture; he decided to kiss Abell. The gesture sparked somewhat of a controversy afterwards — analyst Teddy Atlas praised Arreola for what he felt was a compassionate move. Studio host Brian Kenny vehemently disagreed, feeling like the kiss was insulting towards Abell. I’ve seen plenty of kisses during live action that seemed genuine or compassionate. That Arreola kiss may not have been intentionally insulting, but it surely wasn’t compassionate. It struck me as one out of pleasure if anything.
