Manny Pacquiao’s son is now a boxer too

Manny Pacquiao

Jimuel Pacquiao appears to be following the lead of his famous father.

Retired former eight-division boxing champion Manny Pacquiao shared a post about Jimuel, his eldest son, to Facebook this week. In the post, Manny revealed that Jimuel is now boxing too and just won his first U.S. amateur fight at junior welterweight. Take a look at the pictures.

The 21-year-old Jimuel, whose birth name is Emmanuel Jr., is the eldest of Manny’s five children with his wife Jinkee. Filipino outlet GMA Network reports that Jimuel officially got his boxing license in December but had previously fought in unsanctioned bouts in the Philippines.

As for Manny, he retired last September after his illustrious boxing career spanning 72 professional bouts. Manny is now pursuing far bigger dreams, so he will be leaving the boxing in the family to his son from now on.
