Tony Hawk shares great video of daughter overcoming skateboarding fear

Tony Hawk

Tony Hawk is widely considered to be the greatest skateboarder of all time, so it goes without saying that the moment he had with his daughter over the weekend was probably one of the proudest of his life.

On Saturday, Hawk shared a video on Twitter that showed his daughter conquering one of her skateboarding fears.

Crushed it.

Hawk has always made sure skateboarding is a big part of his kids’ lives, and it even created some controversy several years ago. If anyone’s going to teach a youngster how to shred, its Tony.

Watch: UCLA gymnast Katelyn Ohashi records another perfect 10

Katelyn Ohashi

Katelyn Ohashi did it again.

The UCLA Bruins senior gymnast received another perfect 10 on her floor routine — her second of the season in the event following her performance last month that went viral.

Here’s a look at Ohashi’s performance on Sunday in a competition against Washington:

This was Ohashi’s second perfect 10 on the floor exercise this season, fifth on the floor of her career, and her seventh total career perfect 10. Her perfect 10 on Sunday also marked the second time this season that she and teammate Kyla Ross each had perfect 10s in the same competition. Ross, an Olympic gold medalist, recorded a career-high of 39.775 in the all-around, which is the best score in the country this year.

UCLA beat Washington 197.600-196.000 and is now 8-0 this season.

Lindsey Vonn crashes in final super-G of her career

Lindsey Vonn disappointment

Lindsey Vonn crashed out of the super-G at the Alpine Skiing World Championships in Sweden on Tuesday after losing control in mid-air, hitting a gate and having a panel fitted between the two poles get stuck in her boot.

Vonn hit the snow face-first and then skidded into a safety net. The crash looked bad and immediately caused a stir from the onlookers, including her teammates, opponents and one American fan who burst into tears.

“Everybody, cross your fingers or hold your thumbs. That didn’t look like a nice crash,” said American teammate Mikaela Shiffrin via ESPN. “She went really hard into the fence. Hopefully she is OK.”

The 34-year-old Vonn, who previously announced she will retire following her run at the super-G and Sunday’s downhill due to persistent injuries and knee pain, was immediately attended to by medical personnel before getting up and skiing down the hill.

Vonn is the all-time leader in women’s World Cup wins (82) and has three Olympic medals to her name (one gold).

Adam Levine goes shirtless during Super Bowl halftime show, recalls Janet Jackson

Adam Levine shirtless

Adam Levine and Maroon 5 received a middling to negative reaction for their halftime show at Super Bowl LIII on Sunday, and one particular part of the show made waves.

Late in the set, Levine went shirtless, leading to plenty of comparisons to Janet Jackson.

Back in 2004, Janet Jackson’s breast was exposed during the Super Bowl halftime show, causing a controversy and the inclusion of the term “wardrobe malfunction” in our lexicon. CBS was fined by the FCC for the display, yet nothing will happen with Levine going shirtless.

Watch: UCLA gymnast Katelyn Ohashi goes viral with perfect 10 routine

Katelyn Ohashi

UCLA gymnast Katelyn Ohashi is going viral for her incredible floor routine on Saturday that earned her a perfect 10 score.

The Bruins senior nailed all her moves and danced with beautiful rhythm, all coordinated to the music she was playing, which consisted of several Michael Jackson songs, among others. Take a look:

Ohashi had a huge smile on her face as she was going through her routine, and the positive, relaxed attitude was reflected in her excellent performance. Could she have had any more fun doing that?

After seeing that, it should come as no surprise that Ohashi is the reigning NCAA co-champion on the floor. She has achieved four perfect 10s on the floor and six perfect 10s overall in her career.

Teammate Kyla Ross, a US Olympian, scored a perfect 10 on the uneven bars. Their outstanding performances helped UCLA capture the 2019 Collegiate Challenge powered by Under Armour.

Jacksonville shooter had reportedly lost in Madden tournament

Madden 19

The person who opened fired at a Madden video game tournament in Jacksonville on Sunday did so after competing in the event and losing, according to a report.

Goldberg from ‘The Mighty Ducks’ looks horrendous in latest mug shot

Goldberg Mighty Ducks

The actor who played Goldberg in “The Mighty Ducks” was arrested recently, and based on his mug shot, he really could use some help.

According to TMZ Sports, actor Shaun Weiss was arrested early Sunday morning on public intoxication charges in Oroville, Calif. They say he was released and not cited after being held in the drunk tank for a few hours.

In his mug shot, Weiss looks aged, sleepy, and malnourished.

Weiss has been going through a rough stretch. Last year he was sentenced to 150 days in jail for his second petty theft arrest. He only spent 12 days in jail due to overcrowding. He was then arrested less than a week after his release from jail due to possession of meth.

In addition to his role as Goldberg in “The Mighty Ducks,” Weiss starred in “Heavy Weights” in the 1990s. He also appeared in TV shows such as “Freaks and Geeks,” “Boy Meets World,” “The Tony Danza Show,” “Mr. Rhodes,” “Here and Now,” and “The King of Queens.” His most recent acting credits came in 2016, according to his IMDB page.

Watch: Goose flies into scoreboard at Angels-Tigers game

Goose scoreboard

The Los Angeles Angels and Detroit Tigers were visited by a feathered friend during their game in Detroit on Wednesday.

During the top of the sixth inning, a goose (yes a goose) made its way into Comerica Park. It landed on the infield near second base momentarily before returning to flight. It landed in the outfield and took off again, all while being chased by a stadium employee. The goose took flight again and appeared to be in “cruise control” before colliding with a video scoreboard before falling down into a row of seats.

Hopefully the goose was okay after the collision. At least it didn’t interfere with any players unlike the rogue eagle in Minnesota.
