Brittney Griner related to nearly every guy possible by admitting she loves bacon. The Baylor All-American center said during an interview that the crispy breakfast meat is her basketball good luck charm.
“My good luck charm? Probably my bacon that I eat,” Griner said during an interview on ESPN’s SportsCenter. “I love bacon. I have to have it every day, every pregame meal and breakfast I probably have like a whole plate,” she said with a smile.
“I have some bacon socks. I haven’t shown them to RGIII yet, but I’m going to have to show him I’ve got some socks, too,” she added.
In case you’re wondering about the reference to Robert Griffin III, the former Baylor quarterback has become known for wearing cartoon socks. We could tell from the time she ate a fan’s popcorn pregame that Griner was big on snacks, but we had no idea she loved bacon that much.
