Bryce James, son of LeBron James, has made a notable decision about his college basketball career.

James will redshirt this season, according to Arizona Wildcats head coach Tommy Lloyd. Lloyd said in practices that James has made significant progress in practice, and he expressed optimism that James will be a contributor to Arizona in the future.

“Bryce has made huge progress,” Lloyd said. “The redshirting decision was just a long play to give Bryce the most options as his career unfolds. I have real strong belief that Bryce is going to be a contributor at Arizona in the near future.”

Bryce James Update 🏀:

It’s a redshirt year for LeBron James’ youngest son and Tommy Lloyd can already see the growth:

The decision does not come as a huge surprise, as James has yet to appear in a game for Arizona this season. The Wildcats are 22-0 and have spent the bulk of the season ranked No. 1, and with that much talent, there is not really room for James to play.

James, the second child of LeBron, is still just an 18-year-old freshman who is physically maturing. He was a three-star recruit when Arizona signed him and was never expected to play a huge role on the team this season anyway.
