Chris Beard knows how to join the finer things in life.
The Texas Tech coach is preparing for his team’s NCAA Tournament first-round game against Stephen F. Austin in Dallas on Thursday. And he isn’t about to do so on an empty stomach.
Beard told the media on Wednesday that he made an overnight run to Whataburger nearby the team hotel:

Whataburger is a popular fast food chain based out of Texas, and they’ve become known for their trolling sports tweets. If Texas Tech wins, the chain will have a solid promotional opportunity on their hands.
