Coach K misses second half of Duke game after not feeling well

Mike Krzyzewski dealt with a stressful day on Tuesday, and it culminated with him not being able to coach part of Duke’s 76-74 win over Wake Forest.

Coach K needed the assistance of medical trainers multiple times in the first half of Duke’s game Tuesday at Cameron Indoor Stadium.

Jon Scheyer emerged as the acting head coach in the second half of the game after Coach K did not return to the bench after halftime.

Duke later announced that Coach K would not coach in the second half because he was not feeling well.

Despite the issues, it does sound like Coach K was doing alright.

Coach K’s health issues on Tuesday come the same day he was part of multiple headlines. A report about his involvement in the choice of his successor at Duke went viral. Krzyzewski was said to have chosen Scheyer as his successor. Coincidentally, Scheyer ended up coaching half of the win.
