Isaac Haas elbow brace does not meet NCAA standards
As much as Purdue center Isaac Haas wanted to find a way to play through his elbow fracture, it sounds like it won’t happen for many reasons.
Perhaps the largest is that the NCAA would have to approve any brace he would wear during a game, and the one he tested during practice did not pass NCAA standards, according to NCAA media coordinator David Worlock.
Isaac Haas tried wearing a brace to protect his elbow. In accordance with the NCAA MBB rules book, the officials inspected it and determined it didn't meet player safety standards as outlined in Rule 1, Section 26 (page 30) of the rules book. https://t.co/yTY0JHYb04

Haas wanted to play, but playing on a fractured elbow is dangerous — and, if he can’t find a brace that gets NCAA clearance, impossible. This looks to be nothing more than a pipe dream.
