Purdue’s Matt Haarms goes viral over hair
The injury to Purdue center Isaac Haas meant that freshman Matt Haarms had an expanded role on Sunday, and that helped make a viral star out of his hair.
Haarms’s well-coiffed head of hair required frequent care and adjustment during the game against Butler, and pretty much everyone watching took notice.

Even the broadcast took note, with CBS broadcaster Ian Eagle noting Haarms’s hair care on nearly every possession and comparing him to Kenickie from Grease.
Moments ago, Ian Eagle said, "Haarms is going to need a little more hair product for the second half." He also compared the look to Kenickie from Grease. https://t.co/4VXUC76zJl

There’s something about collegiate big men and unique hairstyles. It didn’t seem to hinder Haarms’ play.
