West Virginia’s season went down in flames on Thursday night with a 3-point loss to Gonzaga in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament. The final was 61-58, but based on the way their final possession went, the Mountaineers were miles away from winning that game.
Jevon Carter airballed his first 3-point attempt, then badly missed his second, and they couldn’t even get a third shot off because he was too gun-shy after that poor showing.
