Alabama is losing a few coaches this offseason, as usual, but Nick Saban is making one noteworthy addition to his staff.
SI’s Bruce Feldman reports that Alabama has hired Jeff Banks as their new special teams coordinator.
SOURCES: Former #TAMU special teams coordinator & recruiting coordinator Jeff Banks will become the new STC for #Alabama. Banks also had been one of the Aggies top recruiters, helped land Christian Kirk.

Banks is switching SEC programs, leaving Texas A&M for Alabama. Part of the big draw of Banks is that he’s regarded as a top recruiter. As Feldman noted, he helped the Aggies land top wide receiver Christian Kirk.
Alabama is losing Jeremy Pruitt, who is the Tennessee Volunteers’ new head coach, and secondary coach Derrick Ansley. Banks is a nice addition to the Crimson Tide’s staff.
