You didn’t really think that Jim Harbaugh was going to take that criticism about his spring practice lying down, did you?
On Thursday, Harbaugh engaged Tennessee head coach Butch Jones after the latter joined in the tongue-in-cheek lunch brigade that planned to check in on the Michigan spring practice.
Jones was the last to join in with this fairly innocuous tweet.

Harbaugh hit back on Thursday.
Suggestion to my Rocky Top colleague, rather than lunch in Florida you might spend your time and focus attending to your present team.

Harbaugh continues to revel in the attention. Hard to blame him.
Interestingly, Harbaugh didn’t fire back at Arkansas coach Bret Bielema or in-state rival Mark Dantonio of Michigan State, who were also in on the joke. Maybe he somehow missed their tweets. Jim’s a busy guy. He was coaching first base for the Tigers on Wednesday. We get it.
Harbaugh has already taken aim at Georgia’s Kirby Smart and the SEC as a whole for their criticisms of his practice. Anyone else who dares speak up will probably be subject to the same treatment.
