There are a lot of great things happening in Urban Meyer’s life with another College Football Playoff appearance on the horizon, but none may be better than him becoming a grandfather.
ESPN’s Tom Rinaldi reports that Nicki Meyer, Urban’s oldest daughter, gave birth to a baby boy early Sunday morning. Nicki and her husband, former Georgia Tech wide receiver Corey Dennis, named the baby Troy.
Urban has three children with wife Shelly — daughters Nicki and Gigi, and son Nate. Nicki, who played volleyball at Georgia Tech and graduated in 2012, got engaged to Dennis in Dec. 2014 and the two got married in Atlanta earlier this year. Dennis is now on Urban’s staff at Ohio State.
The Meyer family is extremely tight-knit, as evidenced by the way Urban’s wife and kids have publicly defended him against criticism in the past. Congratulations to all of them on their new addition.
