A soon-to-be sophomore high school quarterback from Florida has already drawn interest from multiple programs, but the youngster seems destined to wind up in South Bend. With a name like Brady Quinn, how could he not?
Brady Quinn — call him the new Brady Quinn — is preparing for his sophomore season at First Baptist Academy in Naples, Fla. According to Andrew Nemec of SI.com, Quinn was scheduled to visit Notre Dame on Wednesday.
The Brady Quinn that most people know cannot vouch for this Quinn. Though they have the exact same name, the two Quinns are not related. The high schooler says he was named after the former Notre Dame and Cleveland Browns quarterback, however.

“No sir, no relation,” Quinn said. “My dad and his whole family are huge Notre Dame fans and I was named after him. Notre Dame is a great program with amazing tradition and culture and I can’t wait to see what they are about.”
The younger Quinn is a 6-foot-1, 180-pound prospect who was the only player in the Class of 2028 to be named a 2025 standout for the Elite 11 quarterback series in Tampa, Fla.
Thank you @247Sports for naming me to this elite list from this past weekend!!! @Elite11 @Andrew_Ivins pic.twitter.com/jWpQh1Dn63

In addition to Notre Dame, Quinn has drawn interest from Louisville, Missouri, Nebraska, Ole Miss, Purdue and other schools. He has plenty of time to make a decision.
The 40-year-old Quinn was a star at Notre Dame from 2003-2006. He was then drafted by the Browns with the 22nd overall pick, but he did not live up to expectations in the NFL. He served as a backup for several different teams before retiring to pursue a career in media, where he is still delivering unapologetic takes.
A second Brady Quinn (one with no relation to the first) playing quarterback for the Fighting Irish would certainly be something.
