Report: USC in talks with Graham Harrell to be new offensive coordinator
USC is trying to go from one former Texas Tech quarterback to another.
Weeks after Kliff Kingsbury left USC to take the Arizona Cardinals head coaching job, the team is now targeting Graham Harrell to be their offensive coordinator, according to a report. Rivals reporter Adam Maya says Harrell is interviewing with the Trojans and in talks to become their new offensive coordinator.

Harrell, 33, played quarterback at Texas Tech from 2006-2008 and holds several NCAA passing records. He went undrafted and had a brief pro career before going into coaching. He had stints under Mike Gundy at Oklahoma State, Mike Leach at Washington State, and Harrell has served as Seth Littrell’s quarterbacks coach and offensive coordinator at North Texas since 2016.
Between its hire of Kingsbury, who held the position for about a month, and the interest in Harrell, USC is making it clear they want an Air Raid passing expert involved with the offense.
