AAF QB Mike Bercovici sends great tweet about league’s cancellation
Mike Bercovici will always be remembered as the first player in the Alliance of American Football to nearly get decapitated, and the quarterback appears to have accepted his place in league history.
After the AAF announced on Tuesday that it is suspending all football operations for the remainder of the 2019 season, Bercovici sent a hilarious tweet about the fond memories he will have from his brief time playing.

Bercovici, who plays (played?) for the San Diego Fleet, was on the wrong end of one of the AAF’s very first highlights when a San Antonio Commanders linebacker destroyed him with a hit. The play had some people thinking the AAF was going to be more like the XFL. We’re glad to see Bercovici has a sense of humor about it.
